Burst - Counter-Strike 2 - Level Design
Sole creator of the map de_burst
Burst is a defusal map for the game counter-strike 2, which was created in Source 2. I created unique models, in-engine and applied existing materials that pre-existed in hammer, alongside props and decals.
The focus of the level is to highlight fast pace plays and offer players alternative routes around the level. Doors & vents have been put in places to prevent these alternative routes to be too overpowered, which helps balance them out.
Allowing players to hear audio cues, will notify others of their position. Providing players with a lot of risk & reward gameplay scenarios.
The level itself has been under a lot of iterations. I have released this version as I feel it's at a really good point gameplay wise.
Here is an early sketch of the level. A lot has changed due to scale and adding numerous alternative routes. However, the main foundations have remained.
This is the final version of the radar for Burst.
